We are expanding our small, dedicated team and are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal who combines professional expertise with empathy, precision, and strategic thinking.

About the Role: This role will involve working directly with clients and our internal team to prepare robust, well-organised, and compliant case materials for private family law matters. You will play a key role in helping parents navigate the complexities of the Family Court system with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and draft court documents for private family law proceedings, including statements, applications, and evidence submissions.
• Compile and produce comprehensive court bundles fully compliant with Practice Direction 27A. Assess opposing sides bundles for compliance and inclusion of all relevant documents.
• Organise, label and index evidence exhibits, ensuring clarity and relevance throughout.
• Manage document workflows using law firm case management systems and bundle-building software.
• Support clients by explaining processes, helping them stay organised, and ensuring they feel guided and empowered throughout.
• Collaborate with senior advisors to develop case strategy and ensure procedural accuracy.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when necessary, to accommodate clients’ schedules.

 

About You: We are looking for someone with both heart and skill a professional who combines technical excellence with genuine empathy.

Essential:

• Substantial experience as a Family Law Paralegal in private practice.
• Strong knowledge of family court procedure, including child arrangements, fact-finding hearings, and enforcement applications, appeals etc.
• Proficiency with legal document drafting, court application preparation, and evidence collation & management.
• Experienced in using legal case management and bundle production software (e.g., LEAP, Bundledocs, or similar).
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Emotionally intelligent, calm under pressure, and able to communicate with empathy.
• Strategically minded  able to see both the procedural and tactical dimensions of a case.
• Unwaveringly committed to presenting the truth, solving problems and resolving disputes.
• Ability to be the calm, considered and rational voice in the room particularly when a client is on the receiving end of dishonest litigation tactics by the opposing side.
• Comfortable working remotely and managing your own workload.
