Our Journey Was Hell Too

It could be that we're mad to be doing this work, but the experience gained and lessons learned are too valuable to the next batch of unfortunates dragged into this industry for us to not help as many as we can to get through it with as little damage as possible. That is achievable, but only when you understand this system and how it will wreak havoc with you if you don't understand how to navigate it.

Parents needing to resort to family court for assistance in resolving their child contact or financial remedy issues are particularly vulnerable; the industry has evolved to one where predatory law firms prey on that vulnerability — often leading to the ruin of at least one of the parents if not both, severely disadvantaging the children of the family for many years to come. Our service and approach is designed to reduce the likelihood of a predatory and adversarial approach taking hold of proceedings, helping all parties to resolve the dispute sensibly so that co-parenting can resume and the children may get the best they can from each of their parents.

Child-Focused SolutionsWe prioritize the well-being of children by encouraging cooperation, reducing conflict, and supporting positive co-parenting relationships.
Protecting Families from Predatory PracticesOur approach shields families from aggressive legal tactics and unnecessary financial harm, ensuring proceedings stay fair and focused.
Resolution Over RivalryWe work to de-escalate disputes and promote sensible outcomes — helping families move forward with stability and dignity.
Standing Firm Against False ClaimsWe don't tolerate petty or false allegations from clients, and we quickly highlight them where they are put forward by the other side.
Our mission is to empower individuals and families with expert legal guidance in navigating family court matters. Our vision is to establish Family Court Guide as the go-to resource for family court assistance, ensuring that everyone has access to reliable legal guidance and fair representation.

Guidance Drawn From Our Own Journey Through the Courts

For a number of years after my own journey through the family courts began, shocked by how the system and the professionals within it were operating, I wanted to get answers to understand what was really going on, why, and what was the wider impact.

Below are examples of articles, studies and video presentations I have put together over the last 5 years, and there is more in the pipeline.

These resources are recognised by many as being a robust reflection of what is going on in the family law industry and within the child maintenance system.

Being falsely accused is hugely hurtful and can often be very frightening. But falsely accused parents should neither lose hope nor respond with anger. Where there are false allegations they can actually be helpful to gaining swift resolution, provided one doesn't fall into the trap of retaliating or behaviour that can be utilised by the other party (or their lawyers) as proof of their claims.

Our support will include identifying the dynamic and dealing with it in a way that continuation of that behaviour will be noticed, so that hopefully the person or persons responsible will at least dial down their propensity for involving the children in the dispute. The courts are slowly becoming more alive to this problem, but it must be addressed in a sensitive manner to avoid escalation of the conflict.

Yes. If you have been affected by a miscalculation by the Child Maintenance Service (CMS), we offer a fixed-fee service to handle your complaint, subject to limitations.

Yes. If you are self-employed, own a limited company, or plan to start one, we can help you craft an effective financial strategy to protect your assets while fulfilling your legal obligations. We work with the fundamental principle that a parent cannot effectively support their child unless they can first meet their own basic living costs.

We don't tolerate petty or false allegations from clients, and we quickly highlight them where they are put forward by the other side, using our expertise to quickly identify allegations that are either false or exaggerated, or in many cases simply irrelevant to the proceedings.
